A WORLD IN A SUITCASE
Films
Sometimes we need to see and hear people's stories to feel empathy for their struggles and share in their experiences in order to gain insight into their world. Our films aim to shed light on communities rarely seen on film and create common threads between them and us.

Our World in Lockdown |
Church Street Market Traders |
In this VIDEO COLLAGE 9 people from diverse communities from London share their response to isolation/lockdown during the Covid-19 pandemic 2020.
The metaphor of the single suitcase conveys a world in isolation. The ordinary voice of older people is a powerful voice usually not heard and we are proud to give them a platform to express their feelings. During these uncertain times a video collage coveys the fragmented lives of people in lockdown in a way that a linear film made via zoom could never convey. In the suitcase we show items that have become the new essential during these times. Produced and directed by: Timuchin Dindjer and Myrna Shoa (C)
